About Our Youth

Youth ministry is essential to the spiritual development of our young people of The First Cathedral. It is not our ministry to them, but rather their ministry to themselves, each other, and to the greater church community. Young people can discover and nurture their gifts and talents, and can develop their faith in a practical and beneficial setting. Essential to any effective youth ministry is the support of the adults around them - a reminder that they are not just the future of our ministry, but are an important, viable part of the church that can accomplish great things in the here and now.

The First Cathedral Youth Ministry, under the leadership of Archbishop LeRoy Bailey Jr., Sr. Pastor, and First Lady Reathie Bailey is currently being lead by Youth Pastor, Min. Tervon Walton. The First Cathedral Youth Ministry is a ministry that strives to impact the lives of today's youth by giving them practical teaching through the Word of God. We Believe that their Elevation will be through the Word, and the Word is what is going to change them and transform them into the Future Leaders of our society.

Our Youth Ministry is multi-faceted, offering many opportunities for the Youth to Worship and Praise God in their own way utilizing their God given gifts. The Worship experience is allotted to them through the areas of: Youth Choir, Youth Step Team, Angels of Glory Dance Team, as well as many others. Also, not only do we allow them to be themselves, we also offer many different programs and activities to empower them. We offer Youth Church, which is a Sunday church service held on 2nd and 4th Sundays, that is for them, lead by them, and catered towards them.Our Youth Ministry is on it's way to the Next Level, and as we continue to impact their lives, we intend to impart into them the knowledge, wisdom, and Spirit of Christ that it takes to not only change their lives, but for them to change the lives of the Next Generation.
