A Church for You

At The First Cathedral, we are here just for you! As a caring ministry, we know it is our job to make your time with us pleasant and uplifting. What will you discover here? Very simply; encouraging messages, great music, friendly people and a relaxing atmosphere. Of course, your first time here might bring up some other questions. Below are some frequently asked questions. If you need additional information contact the church at 860-243-6520.

Where should I park?

We have over 1300 convenient parking spaces in a well lighted parking lot. You’ll be directed to the most convenient location. For your convenience, we also have Valet Parking Services on Sunday mornings and for special events. The signs and our parking staff will easily direct you to the designated area for drop off. There is a small fee.

What should I expect when I arrive?
Whether you need childcare, a bite to eat, prayer or great educational resources, someone from our Hospitality Team will be nearby to assist you. Just stop by our Visitor’s Center located to right as you enter the main doors.

What’s here for my kids?
As a parent you need to be sure your children are in a safe and healthy environment. And we also know your children want to have fun! We’ve gone to great lengths to guarantee you will find both here at The First Cathedral. Our programs and staff are deeply devoted to providing your kids with fun and constructive Christian learning. Please take a look at our Youth Page and Ministry Schedule for all our great activities.

Nursery Services

Our nursery has facilities for children ages 0-4. In the main lobby we have a room for babies ages 0-2 years old. Aditionally we have a room for 3 and 4 year olds located in the First Academy.

Youth Church

Youth Church is held at 10:45 a.m. on the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays of each month. It is for kids in grades K-12 upstairs in the chapel. Worship includes a message to help our youth grow in Christ.

What should I wear?
We are far more concerned with meeting your needs and getting to know you than with what you are wearing. So, dress comfortably, but respectfully.

What if I Don't Speak English?
Spanish Language Translations are available for our 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship service. For more information go to our visitors center.
